Often, stakeholders and decisionmakers lack understanding of the value libraries bring, because we struggle to translate our impact into business terminology. However, when you apply a business mindset, libraries can flourish in numerous ways: by maximizing services, rethinking revenue, communicating their value, and playing to library employees' strengths.
Business-speak can be intimidating, but in this webinar, you will learn in laymen’s terms how an entrepreneurial mindset can help you communicate the library’s work and ROI in ways everyone can understand.
From this webinar, you will learn:
• How to think from a business and entrepreneurial perspective
• To cultivate a culture of tangible goal setting
• How the importance of networking is good for “library business”
• To develop “business speak,” translating library value into their terms
• To rethink revenue ideas such as resource sharing and grant strategies
